Program's message

Today everyone, particularly all levels of business leaders, has become increasingly conscious that an authentic leader is required to have not only the "hard" competencies such as capabilities to create a corporate vision and strategy, build operation system, implement strategy and run the operation effectively, but also other "soft" qualities.
Self-leadership is one of those powerful, soft qualities.  This capability entails having an in-depth understanding of your own values, principles and motivations.  From this understanding, leaders can strengthen their confidence and earn respect of their employees, clients, partners, and even competitors. The respect is not earned by mere lofty rhetoric or media messages, but through strong, specific, consistent actions based on righteous and progressive values, principles and motivations.

With the foundation of understanding and self-leadership as above, leaders can develop and guide their teams by communicating with empathy and compassion, and by establishing a working environment that promotes effective change, innovation and dynamic culture. This is the solid foundation required for sustainable growth of the organization, particularly in challenging times.

The current global financial crisis and the recession of Vietnam's economy have led to the collapse of many well-known companies. This strengthens the belief that only what creates true values endures such turbulent economic times. Authentic leaders today are required not only to lead others and their organizations, but also themselves. Their own self-leadership is their launch pad for creating the true values and momentum needed for sustaining success of their own, their teams and their organizations.

The PACE Leadership Development Program (LDP) is built upon the three core components: self-leadership, team leadership and organizational leadership. The program is offered in Vietnamese and is delivered by PACE trainers who are experts with in-depth academic knowledge and profound experience in their respective fields.

Target Participants

The PACE Leadership Development Program is designed specifically for leaders, managers, and those who want to develop their capabilities in self-leadership, team leadership and organizational leadership.

Program Objectives

This program will provide participants:

- New thinking and perceptions on self-leadership, team leadership and organizational leadership

- Methodologies and practical tools to effectively manage changes for leading self, teams, and organizations successfully  

- Dynamic learning environment to support participant's efforts in development in leadership abilities during and after the course completion.

Program Duration, Time, and Language

Duration: 8 sessions (or 24 hours or 4 full days)

Time: 8:30 - 16:30  & 18:00 - 21:00

Teaching language: Vietnamese

Program's content

The program is based on the "three pillars" in developing leadership competencies in three levels: self-leadership, team leadership, and organizational leadership.

Part I: Pre-work

To provide participants with knowledge platform on the three themes: self-leadership, team leadership and organizational leadership.

Part II:  Self-leadership

1. Discovering yourself

2. Value-based leadership

3. Leadership thinking

            a. Critical thinking

            b. Creative thinking in problem solving

4. Action plans to develop self-leadership

Part III: Team Leadership

1. Understanding your team

2. Abilities to effectively communicate with, influence and inspire others

3. Action plans to develop your team leadership abilities

Part IV: Organizational Leadership

1. Organizational Behavior Analysis

2. Developing a culture of innovation and creativity

3. Leading your organization based on a vision and culture

4. Action plans to develop organizational leadership

Part V: Program Completion

Sharing your own leadership development action plan with your classmates and trainers/experts.
